Sheet Metal Worker/ Light Fabricator

  • Basic £20.10 + £2.92 holiday credit + £8.00 per hr for non local to si
  • Scotland, Glasgow City, Glasgow
  • Contract
  • To comply with SHE regulations at all times
  • Fabricating, assembling and installing parts of the ship, dependant on their trade
  • Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities
  • Shop work
  • Fabrication of ventilation systems i.e. spiral and box vents using
  • drawings and a range of hand tools.
  • Fabrication of sheet metal furniture i.e. Lockers, cabinets, store
  • modules using drawings and a range of mechanical and hand tools
  • To deploy their skills to the very best of their ability in aid of delivering the highest standard of product possible
  • To maintain positive working relations with team mates
  • Engaging with management in order to improve work productivity
Accountable for complying with all new and current work methods, ensuring it is done to the very best of their ability. In doing so, this should produce the best quality product possible, as well as reducing time and waste spent on the job.
