Senior System Analyst - Finance

Job Summary and Purpose
Design, build, implement, and improve SAP Finance solution services across all divisions and joint ventures. Leverage organizational capabilities and lead/participate in projects aimed at automating manual processes through various SAP smart solutions.


SAP Implementation and Support:
  • Participate in and help lead SAP FICO / FSCM implementations, and provide system support and continuous improvement across the organization and its joint ventures.
  • Provide post-implementation support to users in Finance, Controlling, Project Systems, and Treasury modules. Work with individual Finance divisions to deliver SAP solutions or practical workarounds.
  • Support Finance and Treasury teams during month-end and year-end closing activities, including:
    • GR/IR clearing
    • Foreign currency valuations
    • Internal order settlement
    • Project settlement
    • Corporate service allocation
    • Customer and G/L balance carry-forward
  • Work closely with the SAP ABAP team to design required custom developments or enhancements in SAP.
  • Implement legal requirements specific to the State of Qatar, such as withholding tax.
  • Collaborate with the SAP Basis team to design roles and authorization matrices, ensuring segregation of duties and proper company code access for end users.
  • Create SAP training materials and deliver training to end users.
  • Lead and propose enhancements to existing finance processes to streamline and optimize finance-related transactions.
  • Design and configure enhancements, RFC modifications, and break/fix service desk tickets within SAP FICO / FSCM.
  • Support the development of analytical reports and dashboards using Power BI / SAP Datasphere.
Documentation:
  • Maintain RFC (Request for Change) documents for production support issues.
  • Maintain project documentation, business process documents, and configuration documentation.
Problem Management:
  • Work closely with business users and relevant departments to analyze and investigate issues/problems and provide solutions.
  • Document issues encountered and resolutions provided.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Specialized certifications in SAP FICO / FSCM modules.
Experience:
  • 5–7 years of SAP experience, with at least 3 years in a similar position, preferably within a similar industry.
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP FICO / FSCM modules.
  • Deep understanding of all Finance sub-modules with hands-on experience.
  • Strong client-facing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of S/4HANA solutions, BTP, Fiori Apps, and system integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of business data modelling, preferably using SAP Datasphere.
  • Strong understanding of dashboard reporting and ability to build Power BI analytical dashboards.
  • Knowledge of SAP interfaces/integration with other technologies, especially Microsoft.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Dataflows).
