Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Subsea Pipeline Marine Inspector (CSWIP 3.4UC) to support offshore subsea pipeline repair and integrity activities. This role serves as a key offshore QA/QC focal point, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, industry standards, and quality requirements throughout project execution and handover. The position involves a combination of onshore preparation and offshore deployment onboard construction or diving support vessels, supporting multiple offshore campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the offshore QA/QC focal point for subsea pipeline repair and installation activities
  • Interface with EPCI contractors, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies
  • Implement and monitor project quality control processes and procedures
  • Review contractor scope of work and determine inspection and verification requirements
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report inspection and testing status during offshore activities
  • Support underwater inspection (UWI) activities including:
    • Review of diver/ROV footage
    • Preparation of daily offshore inspection reports
    • Interpretation and documentation of inspection findings
  • Verify repair activities against approved procedures, specifications, and methodologies
  • Participate in QA/QC coordination meetings and audits as required
  • Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective actions, and close-out activities
  • Provide rapid reporting of quality-related events during shutdown and re-pressurization phases
  • Support final documentation and acceptance for offshore campaigns and handover
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • CSWIP 3.4UC – Underwater Inspection Controller (mandatory)
  • Valid offshore safety certification (BOSIET / TBOSIET / FOET / TFOET)
  • Valid offshore medical certificate
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas (onshore and offshore)
  • Proven experience as a Lead CSWIP 3.4UC Underwater Inspection Controller
  • Strong background in subsea pipeline inspection, repair, and integrity assurance
  • Experience with underwater inspection (UWI) using divers and/or ROVs
  • Familiarity with subsea pipeline coating systems (FBE, CTE, CWC)
  • Knowledge of pipeline integrity threats, corrosion mechanisms, CP systems, and NDT
  • Experience working onboard offshore construction or diving support vessels
  • Familiarity with international design codes and standards (DNV, ASME, etc.)
