We have a current opportunity for a Senior Subsea Pipeline Marine Inspector – CAT III on a contract basis. The position will be based RasLaffan (Onshore & Offshore). For further information about this position please apply.
Purpose
The Senior Subsea Pipeline Marine Inspector is fundamentally, a project-specific, offshore quality focal point, interfacing with the EPCI Contractor and any associated Sub-contractors, to ensure QA/QC compliance within the project execution phases, and up to the final handover.
The project scope involves conducting repairs to damaged areas of concrete weight coating (CWC) applied to various subsea pipeline systems, and to corresponding concrete sleepers. The Senior Subsea Pipeline Marine Inspector is to complement the Subsea Marine QA/QC Specialist in the coordination of QA/QC verification activities related to the project’s acceptance of the subsea pipeline and sleeper repair activities during the planned shutdowns.
The role could also include supplementary onshore inspection activities of the Contractors fabricated items, such as pipeline repair clamps, replacement steel sleepers, and installation aids (i.e., pipeline handling frames (PHF’s), etc.) and be involved during onshore site integration testing (SIT), etc.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical) with demonstrated knowledge and experience)
CSWIP 3.4UC Underwater Inspection Controller (Requirements for the Certification of ROV Inspectors and Underwater Inspection Controllers)).
Current / valid BOSIET, TBOSIET, FOET or TFOET certificate, as applicable, in conjunction with an offshore medical certificate.
Experience in conducting QMS audits and QA verification programs for various project phases (i.e., Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (specifically, the Repair / Installation of pipelines and their associated infrastructure) would be preferable.
At least six (6) years of working experience in Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) within the Oil and Gas industry (i.e., onshore and offshore).
Should have a proven history as a lead 3.4UC underwater inspection controller within demanding subsea/offshore projects.
Subsea pipeline project experience is highly desired, with emphasis on pipeline operations, integrity assurance/non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection, maintenance and/or design and construction.
Familiarity with marine vessel operations and the organisational responsibility of the (i) Offshore Construction/Installation Manger, (ii) Vessel Master, (iii) Diving and ROV Supervisors, (iv) Client Representative(s), (v) Certifying Authorities, etc.
Familiar with applicable Design Codes/Standards (e.g., ASME B&PV codes and standards, DNV-ST-F101, DNV-RP-F103, DNV-RP-B401, as applicable), as referenced in the Project’s Scope of WORK.
