Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS platform adjacent and connected to existing facilities, operated with dedicated philosophies for safety, maintenance, inspections, integrity.

Absheron FFD: major national project, second only to Shah Deniz, with high strategic and political significance.
Multicultural context with documents in different languages, mainly Azerbaijani or English

Activities

The Subsea Operations Engineer overall responsibility is to control the safe and reliable operations of the EPS facilities using the best work practices, with the objective of remaining within the agreed Budget and Schedule. The Subsea Operations Engineer overall responsibility is to control the effectiveness of engineering design and technical referential to allow for the safe and reliable operations of the EPS facilities using the best work practices, with the objective of remaining within the agreed Budget and Schedule. Also, Subsea Operations Engineer will be involved in the Full Field Development of the Absheron project.

Main Responsibilities are:

 Leading preparation and the execution of the Subsea Inspections/Interventions (ILI, ROV inspection, etc.)
 Assisting the Smart Room Manager in the follow-up of engineering and technical developments of the operating facility
 Acting as Technical Authority reference for all Subsea Production system issues.
 Supports the Site team for with the day-to-day follow-up of the subsea equipment’s
 Supports the Maintenance team with the maintenance of subsea equipment located on the EPS platform.
 Ensures subsea documentation is available and up to date.
 Follows the subsea LOF contract.
 Prepares or follows up the subsea studies (EPRS, Obsolescence study, etc)
 Follows the subsea stock and ensures its correct preservation

In addition, Subsea Operations Engineer will be involved in the Full Field Development of the Absheron project ensuring the effectiveness of engineering design and technical referential.

The Subsea Operations Engineer is assisted by a Subsea Operations Support Engineer.
Acting as CPY representative during offshore operations on site

• Highly constrained Caspian environment: landlocked, limited offshore assets & subsea capacity.

Critical export dependency: Oil Rocks (SOCAR), BTC pipeline (1,800 km / 1.2 Mb/d, TTE 5%), FFD gas pipelines , complex tie-ins and constrained market access.

Accountabilities

DETAILED ACTIVITIES

1. adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regarding to HSSE and to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility
2. Using TTE rules and procedures and best work practices, establish and maintain a set of specific procedures complying with main agreements signed (PSA / JOA), to cover the co-ordination and control of activities
3. Develop the tools which will be required for day-to-day management of the Subsea Production System operations after start-up
4. Selection of all tools and equipment required for start-up and ensure the timely procurement of those.
5. Participate in project reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR...).
6. Review engineering work in detail for complex issues which may jeopardize the operability or OPEX of the Absheron project.
7. Participate in the Efficiency Cost Performance Initiatives Improvement Initiative process
8. Perform required studies related to Subsea Production System operations activities
9. Act as an active member of the collaborative team to support the Site Activities
10.Participate in the preparation and participate when requested to all Workshops / Committee meetings with Service Provider(s), Authorities, Partners, and Stakeholder…

Qualifications/Experience required

• Level / Diploma: Masters degree in Subsea Engineering or any relevant discipline.
• Professional Experience: minimum 7 years of experience in Subsea Operations and Interventions.
• In-depth knowledge of:
o Subsea Production system Operations and Maintenance
o Offshore project management skills
o Vessel Mobilization/demobilization experience
o Operational and ILI (In Line Inspection) pigging knowledge
o Experience in Subsea interventions
o Process safety in design and risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and SIL analysis

O&G process and construction practices, Project Organization and Coordination, Deep knowledge of Subsea Production systems, Documentation review/control, Management of interfaces, Management of contractors/subcontractors.
