Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Structural Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Provides structural specific engineering design, technical advice and engineering support to production operations to achieve Safe, Steady and Reliable asset performance.
Liaises closely with Facility Engineers for structural engineering required for construction.
Ensures the development of robust structural integrity management strategies and schemes to ensure that fitness for purpose aligns with life of field expectations.
Ensures that current and future year structural engineering activity is planned and budgeted in accordance with the company process.
Ensures all required inspection, repair and maintenance activity is identified in a timely fashion to allow for annual schedules and budgets to be developed in a controlled manner.
Formulates and develops discipline specific strategies into functional scopes of work for new and existing assets in an effective and economic manner.
Provides specialist technical expertise for ensuring the safest and most cost effective discipline methods are used, while minimising any loss of production revenue, through innovative techniques, procedures and equipment
Develops, maintains and distributes company standards and specifications utilised within specific discipline area.
Adheres to discipline specific, Company and Industry philosophies and regulations
Supervises and manage subcontract activity in line with satisfying Corporate and Legislative requirements and incorporates the benefits of new technology.
Addresses and controls all SHE related actions assigned, and relate to scope of responsibility.
Provide structural specific input to ensure company operational, commercial and contractual requirements are complied with and maintained and updated as appropriate.

Skills & Experience:
Honours Degree and/or Masters Degree in relevant Engineering/Science discipline.
Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer preferred.
Computer literate, Microsoft packages, competent in presentation and database systems.
Knowledge and operation of structural analysis databases operated by company is an essential requirement.
Ability to identify, investigate, audit and control technical change.
Ability to undertake work to meet acceptance criteria with respect to safety, technical integrity, cost and schedule
Demonstrate ability to undertake and supervise discipline specific engineering design, technical advice and engineering support
