What will you do

The role contributes to the identification and delivery of optimization initiatives within the category scope, including cost savings and cost-of-goods reduction, as well as broader productivity opportunities such as simplification, standardization, demand optimization, and the elimination of non-value-added activities.

Responsibilities of the role

Decisions are made in alignment with the Global Category Lead and applicable governance processes; the role is expected to independently progress work and provide clear, fact-based recommendations for decision-making. • Coordinate effective portfolio review meetings weekly, monthly, and quarterly, and conduct appropriate follow-ups with respective project owners.
  • Conduct appropriate analysis and facilitate actions in support of MYO objectives.
  • Report to Executive Leadership on MYO status, KPI performance, and escalations as needed.
  • People Leadership: Expected to lead and influence peers, as appropriate, in the leadership of projects or other initiatives, such as cross-functional team members on a sourcing project team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement/Management: Lead engagement with project owners, category leads, and various stakeholders in support of project management.
  • Strategy Development/Implementation: Work with cross-functional leads to deliver breakthrough strategies that drive quick wins and generate legitimate business value. Drive innovation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional leads to identify and eliminate waste and drive greater efficiency. Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and participate in or lead Kaizen events.

  • At least 5 years of combined experience in external manufacturing operations, strategic sourcing and procurement, or supply chain, including source change management within a pharmaceutical or healthcare company, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the change required to execute.
  • Ability to work with senior management with professionalism and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with people from many different disciplines.
  • Project management experience specifically related to product source management and strategic sourcing projects.
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to deal with ambiguous and dynamic situations.
