Orion Group are working with a tier 1 Construction client to source a Senior Site Manager to support the delivery of a multi-million pound new build high school.
As the Senior Site Manager you will organise the day to day running of the site and to supervise all trades to ensure a high quality of workmanship. Managing employees on site, keeping paperwork up to date including – time sheets, allocation sheets, dayworks etc. Following all safety procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Plan.

As a Senior Site Manager, you’ll have either a c, hold a valid CSCS card, be SMSTS qualified and be competent in Health and Safety practice with good first aid knowledge. With a strong project pipeline, the Senior Site Manager role will give you the opportunity to really grow and develop your skills providing continuing support for all our on-site teams.

Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Providing leadership, guidance and mentoring to members of the project team as appropriate
- Effectively managing any project delays
- Ensuring dimensional controls are in place from the outset and are utilised accordingly
- Completing daily site diary as outlined on BIM 360 Field platform
- Plan, implement and monitor site logistics
- The co-ordination and control of the project, including staff, labour and sub-contractors, from the construction phase through to completion and handover to the Client
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Control and Quality Management policies, processes and procedures as prescribed on the Company Management System
- Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) as prescribed on the Company Management System
- Effectively communicating with the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information
- Building and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders
- Set up and follow all SHE principles on site, including Covid safe requirements
- Organise all labour on site, including Site Managers, site staff and sub-contractors
- Quality Control
- Make sure all plant and machines are used efficiently on site
- Setting out
- Maintaining safety records
- Keeping site records up to date
- Maintain filing system
- Checking time sheets
- Ensure site is tidy
- Keeping safety/scaffold/plant register is up to date
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Site Agent’s Procedure Manual

QUALIFICATIONS/RELEVANT INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE:
- A construction related degree or be from a trade background with proven construction management and leadership experience.

- First Aid at Work
- Fire Marshal
- Demolition Supervisor
- Previous experience in the construction industry
- IT competent: in Microsoft packages, BIM 360, Asite
- Experience in dealing with architects, engineers, clients, sub-contractors
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
- Health and safety awareness
- Full driving licence
