Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and specialist guidance on rotating equipment reliability, maintenance and operational performance.
  • Support safe and compliant operations through robust process safety, risk management and engineering assurance.
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures and recurring reliability issues, identifying sustainable solutions.
  • Build effective relationships with operations, maintenance, project teams and external service providers.
  • Manage key service contracts and vendor performance, ensuring delivery against operational and commercial objectives.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and asset reliability.
 
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in rotating equipment engineering within the oil and gas sector, ideally supporting operating assets.
  • Strong understanding of rotating machinery reliability, maintenance strategies and failure analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of offshore regulatory requirements and applicable engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience managing technical service contracts, budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
