Orion is working with an increasingly succesful Scottish based Civils & Infrastructure business to source a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join there Durham based team.

Your Responsibilities
- Take ownership of cost management and budgeting across high-value projects.
- Prepare, review, and manage estimates, contracts, and valuations – directly impacting project profitability.
- Lead cost and risk analyses to support informed decision-making.
- Support project managers with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Build strong relationships through collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
- 5–7+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a Civils Contractor environment.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of contract frameworks (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and cost management practices.
- Accuracy, independence, and excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience mentoring junior QS or leading a small team is a plus.
