Senior Project Planner
 
 
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Project Planner, based in Aberdeen on a long-term PAYE contract to support our operator client’s decommissioning activities.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Lead Project Planner with covering the Company’s Project portfolio
  • Generate and issue a variety of weekly and monthly planning reports such as Gantt Charts, S-Curves, Resource Histograms and Project Dashboards.
  • Provision of accurate planning information to the Project manager(s) and Lead Engineer(s) to allow for work prioritisation, scheduling, reporting, and resourcing.
  • Interfacing with Contractor and Company asset planners to ensure Project scope alignment
 
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Significant Major Capital Projects Planning experience from early concept phase through to Decommissioning.
  • Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software
  • Ability to generate and maintain integrated project schedules and plans
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
  • Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios
  • Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control & Risk Analysis (CSRA Process)
  • Proficient understanding of WBS & Activity code structures
  • IT Skills – Excellent working Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Uses initiative, experience and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to guide & mentor others
  • Demonstrates effective organisation & project planning skills
