About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to provide technical support and process engineering expertise within a field operations environment.
The successful candidate will act as a senior technical resource, providing Tier 2 support, troubleshooting operational issues and developing practical solutions to process upsets, bottlenecks, shortfalls and instability.
The role will also involve coaching and supporting Process Engineers, leading process engineering initiatives and contributing to operational philosophy, operating limits, integrity assessments and wider technical studies.
Key Responsibilities
Experience working in an operational Oil & Gas environment, particularly with process troubleshooting, optimisation and production support, would be highly relevant.

About the Role

The role will also involve coaching and supporting Process Engineers, leading process engineering initiatives and contributing to operational philosophy, operating limits, integrity assessments and wider technical studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical process engineering support, including troubleshooting, diagnostics and resolution of operational issues.
- Research and develop technical solutions to process upsets, bottlenecks, shortfalls and instability.
- Provide Tier 2 process engineering support to field operations.
- Review and validate work produced by Junior Process Engineers where required.
- Coach, mentor and provide technical support to Process Engineers.
- Independently lead process engineering initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to the development and updating of operating philosophies and operating limits.
- Support DGS and integrity assessments as required.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, RCA, pre-project, FMP and other technical studies.
- Develop and update PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, specifications and Cause & Effect diagrams.
- Prepare and maintain FMPs, derogations and associated technical documentation.
- Participate in site surveys and field activities as required.
- Maintain a strong focus on HSE throughout all engineering activities.
- BSc/BEng in Science, Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years’ experience within the process industry, depending on seniority.
- Strong process engineering and operational troubleshooting experience.
- Proficiency with process simulation tools such as HYSYS, PRO/II, OLGA or FlareSim.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and interfaces.
- Strong HSE awareness and commitment.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
