We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to provide process engineering and flow assurance expertise during the EPC, commissioning and start-up phases of major projects until handover to the operations team.
The role will ensure project deliverables meet operational requirements in terms of safety, operability, reliability and maintainability throughout the facility lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Provide process engineering and flow assurance expertise to Operations during EPC, commissioning and start-up activities.
Participate in design reviews, HAZID, SIL, HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC) and risk assessments.
Provide technical support for commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting activities.
Support punch-list activities and warranty claim resolution.
Develop and support the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new projects.
Develop and implement process surveillance tools for operating assets to ensure safe, reliable and optimum production.
Monitor process performance and provide timely engineering recommendations and escalation of operational threats or deviations.
Participate in system completion activities and pre-commissioning walk-downs prior to commissioning and start-up.
Witness and support critical activities such as chemical and catalyst loading where required.
Provide technical input to other engineering disciplines and project functions.
Support and facilitate the completion of project tie-in requirements for systems within the area of responsibility.
Maintain an Issue Register, identifying and resolving critical issues and risks that may affect project reliability, availability and cybersecurity.
Identify and assess risks associated with the implementation of new technologies.
Prepare comprehensive process engineering discipline handover packages following start-up.
Support high-risk commissioning activities for complex and large-scale projects.
Undertake process system surveillance, tuning and optimization during commissioning and start-up.
Provide technical advice and support to Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
Consider both CAPEX and OPEX when providing technical recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable company standards, procedures, specifications and industry requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or Process Engineering.
Experience & Technical Knowledge
Minimum 6 years of experience in an Oil & Gas environment.
Strong experience in Process Engineering and Flow Assurance.
Experience in EPC, commissioning and start-up of Oil & Gas facilities.
Practical experience with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, risk assessments and Management of Change (MOC).
Experience in process troubleshooting, optimization and operational support.
Experience with process surveillance and performance monitoring.
Experience in system completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
Experience supporting project tie-ins and handover to Operations.
Experience working with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
Knowledge of process safety, reliability, operability and maintainability requirements.
Experience with complex and large-scale Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
