We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer. This position is based in Qatar onshore.
Minimum Requirements
Advise and support Process Engineering and flow assurance expertise consistent with Sr. Engineer level competency during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operations expectations in term of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.
Provide process engineering technical/specialized expertise to Operations in areas of design reviews, HAZID/SIL/HAZOP, Management of Change, Risk Assessment, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting as part of punch list and warranty claim resolutions, and improve safety & reliability.
Support development of Standard Operating Procedures required for the new projects.
Develop and implement process surveillance tools for Operations assets in compliance with surveillance plan to ensure safe, reliable and optimum production, including troubleshooting, engineering recommendations and timely escalation of threats and deviations from surveillance monitoring.
Active participation in System Completions processes for Walk-down prior to commissioning and start-up (eg, witness of chemical/catalysts loading, etc).
Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements to support overall business objectives.
Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems under the area of responsibility.
Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security. Prepares discipline handover packages for operating company following start-up.
Support high risk commissioning activities for high complexities & large-scale projects by (a) undertaking stringent system surveillance, (b) tuning and optimizing systems, and (c) providing advisory supports to Operations and Maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
6 years’ experience in an Oil & Gas environment.
Technical and Business Skills
Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
Conversant with Qatargas, national and internationally accepted specifications.
Computer literate with advance knowledge of all relevant engineering software tools and systems.
Excellent analytical skills and able to work and make decisions under highly stressing conditions.
