Senior Process Consultant

We have an opportunity for a Senior Process Consultant on a permanent staff basis with a highly regarded technical engineering specialist. The position will be based in Aberdeen. 

Requirements:
  • Provide process engineering expertise and technical assurance advice to our engineering studies within the EMEA region covering Oil & Gas, CCUS, Hydrogen sectors.
  • Provide advice and support into our business development and tenders.
  • Act as Process Technical Authority in the company supporting internal projects and our advising our clients. Internally support the EMEA Technical Steering Group.
  • Support divisional manager in ensuring we maintain quality of delivery from the process team and ensure the process engineering competency is maintained.
  • Represent, promote the company at client and stakeholder meetings as required.
 
Specific Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer (Process Engineering Degree or equivalent).
  • Significant relevant chemical/process engineering experience within energy industry including brownfield modifications, operations support.
  • Past experience of acting as Process Technical Authority would be beneficial.
  • Strong track record in leading front end and conceptual engineering studies
  • Extensive knowledge and application of industry process design standards and guidelines.
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring of less experienced process engineers.
  • Proven experience of working in & leading multi-discipline project teams.
  • Experienced in participation at safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA & constructability workshops.
  • Demonstrable extensive experience in process operations support, process design including process safety and the application of industry & client standards/guidelines.
  • Strong background in supporting studies from Concept Stage up to and beyond FEED including detailed design and start-up support.
  • Experienced in assessing process brownfield modifications, application of MOC principals, process control theory and process optimisation including site-based experience/site surveys.
  • Experience of working in multi-discipline project teams and understanding of discipline interfaces & project risks.
  • First class communication, report writing & presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers succinctly.
