Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR)

Remote | 12-Month Contract to start
Pay Rate: $44-51/hr (dependent on experience)

Orion Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Patient Experience Data & Strategy to support the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) team within a global oncology portfolio. This individual will independently design and execute patient experience data (PED) strategies to optimize product registration, access, and reimbursement across all phases of oncology drug development.

This is a highly quantitative role requiring deep expertise in psychometrics, PRO/COA endpoint analysis, and statistical strategy within clinical trials.

The ideal candidate will translate complex patient-centered outcomes data into meaningful insights that inform regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and cross-functional strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature and landscape reviews to develop disease conceptual models centered on patient experience (oncology focus preferred).
  • Evaluate and statistically assess existing COA tools to determine fit-for-purpose using rigorous quantitative methods.
  • Lead development, validation, and integration of COA measurement strategies into clinical development programs.
  • Develop protocol and SAP content related to PRO/COA endpoints.
  • Design and execute quantitative PED research including:
    • Factor analysis
    • Reliability and validity testing
    • Psychometric validation
    • Advanced statistical programming for COA endpoints
  • Translate complex quantitative analyses into regulatory documentation and reimbursement materials.
  • Support scientific publications and congress presentations with statistically robust data interpretation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HEOR, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Operations teams.
  • Contribute to best practices for patient-centered data integration across oncology programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD) in:
    • Biostatistics
    • Epidemiology
    • HEOR
    • Public Health
    • Or related quantitative field
  • 3+ years direct research experience with hands-on quantitative/statistical analysis in:
    • Clinical trials
    • PRO/COA data
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Measurement science
    • Psychometric methodology
    • Statistical validation techniques
  • Experience developing and executing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
  • Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex healthcare data
  • Experience working in cross-functional clinical environments
  • Familiarity with regulatory documentation requirements for COA endpoints
Oncology experience preferred but not required. Strong quantitative background is essential.
