Minimum requirements
The job holder is accountable for all interfaces activities during Phase 3.1 project execution from pre-FEED to completion:
Defining, implementing and following up all necessary tools and procedures related to interface Management,
Develop and maintain the Interface Management Plan for the project
Identify all internal and external interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, Operations, Drilling, CPD and third-party contractors within projects and during project execution between EPC packages
Facilitate communication between departments (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE) and external stakeholders
Establish and maintain an Interface Register to track all interface issues and actions.
Monitor and resolve interface-related issues promptly to prevent project delays.
Ensure compliance with Qatari regulations, client requirements (e.g., Qatar Energy standards), and project specifications to achieve seamless integration and timely delivery.
Organize regular interface meetings and provide progress reports to the Interface & Supply chain manager.
Ensure all interface activities comply with project specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Identify interface risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate records of all interface agreements and communications.
 
ACTIVITIES
To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE and to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
To liaise with other interface engineers, all discipline engineers involved in the management of interfaces, and with contractor personnel handling interfaces. The job holder shall also make sure that non-contractual interfaces (i.e. interfaces between different subcontractors of EPC contractor) are properly addressed by EPC contractors.
To organize and/or attend technical interface meetings as necessary.
To ensure consistence and correct interfacing with other areas during the various phase of EPC detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation and animate dedicated transverse coordination between packages as required to ensure all requirements for EPC activities are complied with.
To ensure timely review of documentation by company interfaces to identify clashes/conflicts
To insure coordination and follow-up of E&C G&G surveys throughout Phase 2 execution,
To follow-up during EPCIC phases the progress of ESIA studies with HSEQ to ensure issuance of Consent To Construct certificate in due time to allow installation of the first Jackets
To prepare before start of the FEED the engineering contractor interface procedure and deploy specific tools for the coordination of revisions of the existing technical documents between different engineering contractors working simultaneously on the same location
Managing communication interface with Other Operators during Pre-FEED, FEED and EPCIC phases
Put in place interface agreement with Other Operators before start of FEED
To follow up 3rd party interfaces (ie Logistic) EPCIC phase
To define as exhaustively as possible all the contractual interfaces resulting from the split of contracts defined in the Phase 3.1 Project Contractual strategy and to ensure that contractual documents reflect the corresponding split of responsibilities between the different Contractors during all phases of Project.
To oversee the implementation of the interface management process by Project team and Contractor(s), and in particular, to keep the Interface Task Register (ITR) and Interface Document Register (IDR) updated.
To attend all interface-related meetings, including in particular interface workshops, HAZID / HAZOP meetings, meetings with Contractor(s), etc. in order to ensure permanent control of the battery limits.
To organize, control and follow up process to have all deliverables timely issued by contractors for all interfaces, and to control the quality of these deliverables during FEED and EPCIC phases.
To assist EPCIC Contractor(s), as required, in the closing out of interfaces. To expedite the exchange of Interface Task Sheet involving Contractor(s) as necessary.
To ensure that EPCIC Contractors provide proper reporting of the progress of their interfaces activities and ensure subsequently report on progress of interface management process implementation to Project Manager and refer to him in the event of any deviation or conflict with proposed remedial actions.
To avoid change orders and delays caused by interface issues by ensuring timely follow-up of interfaces during FEED and EPCIC phases. To anticipate problems and work together with Contractor(s), Engineering Manager and as a general manner with all discipline Engineers, to propose technical solutions.

Qualification and Trainings
Bachelor or master’s in engineering or related discipline
Professional Experience in Engineering and/or Project Management (years): 8-10 with at least 3 years in interface management or coordination roles.
Understanding of EPC project lifecycle, multidisciplinary engineering, and construction processes.
Large spectrum of skill and competencies in various engineering disciplines and/or in Interface Management.
A good knowledge of Contractual matters would be necessary, and a good knowledge of Well Head Platforms Projects and Operations would be a plus.
Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project)
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings
