We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist – Instrumentation to join a major LNG producing plant. This is a leadership role within the Maintenance organisation, responsible for managing all Instrumentation engineering maintenance activities and ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and technical integrity.
Role Purpose To manage and coordinate all Instrumentation Engineering Maintenance activities, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance strategies while maintaining equipment availability and technical integrity across the facility.

Role Purpose To manage and coordinate all Instrumentation Engineering Maintenance activities, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance strategies while maintaining equipment availability and technical integrity across the facility.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management
- Lead and supervise the Instrumentation Engineering Specialist team.
- Set annual objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and complete end-of-year appraisals.
- Identify training needs and ensure implementation of approved development programs.
- Support development of national staff to maximise performance and succession planning.
- Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and integrity of instrumentation systems.
- Promote strong HSE culture and ensure full compliance with company policies and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Review and optimise preventive maintenance strategies and schedules.
- Oversee scheduling and execution coherence of all instrumentation work requests.
- Validate and approve maintenance procedures in line with Company Maintenance Policy.
- Ensure documentation and safety manuals are regularly reviewed and properly archived.
- Guarantee quality control during maintenance execution.
- Lead and ensure effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert technical guidance to Maintenance and Reliability teams.
- Initiate and implement Instrumentation modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Contribute to maintaining the Asset Reference Plan (ARP).
- Maintain technological watch for the Instrumentation discipline in coordination with HQ.
- Coordinate site Instrumentation contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Develop and review technical scopes of work and support contractor prequalification processes.
- Supervise vendors delivering specialist control systems and instrumentation services.
- Ensure availability and optimisation of spare parts and materials, including financial justification and stock reviews.
- Coordinate preparation and consolidation of monthly KPI reports (performance, cost, budget, preventive and corrective maintenance).
- Extensive knowledge of Instrumentation equipment, systems integration, and maintenance methodologies.
- Strong expertise in international safety standards (ATEX, IECEx).
- In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 & 2, ISO).
- Good working knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS systems.
- Strong IT and reporting skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Fire & Gas Systems (FGS) maintenance practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 20 years’ maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in LNG producing plants (not LNG terminals).
- Proven leadership experience within large-scale industrial facilities.
