Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Geologist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Basin evaluation and play fairway mapping
Seismic interpretation and mapping at regional and prospect scale
Formulation and execution of agreed technical programmes for each asset
Geological input to support new business opportunity evaluations
Calculate prospect volumetrics (STOIIP, GIIP, recoverable volumes) and evaluate subsurface risks for opportunities
Prepare and present material as required internally and to third parties e.g. OGA/JV partners
Provide a wide range of geological support and technical advice/guidance to the exploration team
Preparation of relevant parts of well programmes in partnership with other subsurface staff and drilling engineers

Qualifications
Geoscience Bachelor's Degree
MSc or post-graduate qualification in Geology / Geophysics or Petroleum exploration

Experience
Broad geological knowledge of the UKCS with previous experience of exploration within the UKCS offshore
Experience of working in an E&P operator and as part of joint venture (JV) groups
Skilled background of structural, stratigraphic or sedimentological nature an advantage
Proven prospect generator
Exposure to licencing rounds
Skilled in fast pace prospect evaluation (Dataroom)
Experience in supporting geophysical processing projects
