Senior Financial Analyst – Manufacturing Finance

Contract Opportunity-6 Months with Possible Extensions

Orion Group is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support manufacturing finance operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role will partner closely with manufacturing and packaging leadership to provide financial analysis, forecasting, costing support, and operational insights that drive strategic business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial support to manufacturing and packaging operations leadership
  • Support annual manufacturing cost development and forecasting cycles
  • Develop cost estimates for new products, product extensions, and business opportunities
  • Assist with financial analysis related to cost improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and planning models
  • Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes
  • Maintain internal consolidation and reporting files
  • Partner with business units to align planning assumptions and financial objectives
  • Present financial data and insights in a clear and concise manner
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and business strategy initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance and/or accounting
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy
  • Experience with SAP and/or Power BI is a plus
Preferred Background
  • Manufacturing costing experience
  • Inventory accounting and operational finance support
  • Experience supporting plant or production operations
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
