Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Executive Assistant on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client located in Breda. Initial 12-month contract. This is a hybrid role.

What will you do


As a Senior Executive Assistant in Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling the success of our site leadership team. This is a high-impact position where your ability to anticipate needs, manage complexity, and communicate with clarity will be key. You’ll be the go-to person for coordination, communication, and execution — ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Providing proactive and autonomous executive support to the Site Lead and Leadership Team.
  • Planning and coordinating internal and external events, including high-level meetings, site visits, and celebrations.
  • Leading internal communications efforts, including drafting announcements, newsletters, and presentations, in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Managing office operations and coordinating with other assistants, providing guidance where needed.
  • Ensuring smooth financial and administrative processes, including invoicing and payments.
  • Representing our client professionally when hosting internal and external visitors.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate is a highly intelligent, fast-paced, and detail-oriented professional, with a proven ability to operate independently in a dynamic, international environment. You thrive on structure, precision, and clear communication — and you bring a confident, mature presence to every interaction.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in administrative roles, with at least 5 years supporting senior executives.
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, communications, and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a perfectionist mindset and high attention to detail.
  • Experience leading or mentoring other assistants.
  • Familiarity with business areas such as logistics, clinical research, or safety.
  • Strong interpersonal skills — confident, approachable, and able to build trust quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Experience in a multinational, scientific or regulated environment.
  • Comfortable working across cultures and adapting communication styles accordingly.
