Job Title: Senior Equipment Technician (Site)
Reports to: Lead Equipment Technician (Site) / Equipment Technical Manager
Location: Worldwide Onshore & Offshore
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Overall responsibility for equipment mobilisation, demobilisation, calibration and maintenance
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
• Supervise and allocate tasks to Equipment Technician, Pipe Facing Leader
• Supervise and Liaise with technical partner Technicians.
• Oversee equipment mobilisation, demobilisation, calibration and maintenance and support activities as required.
• Deal with technical issues for equipment, problem solving and fault finding.
• Ensure that certification certificates and equipment records are maintained.
• Liaise with management.
• Submit reports as required, including weekly updates
• Carry out research and modifications
• Promote safe working practices, lead toolbox talks
• Carry out training as required with technicians.
• Maintain Data Acquisition equipment and be point of contact for technical support.
• Ensure Equipment Spares and Stock is at the correct levels and controlled.
• Ensure Electrical / PAT Testing is carried out on required equipment and up to date.
• Provide support to Vessel welding foreman for offshore equipment requirements.
• Support Tie in operations including purging equipment, umbilicals and other associated equipment.
• Maintain and support pipeline transportation and alignment equipment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Experienced time served engineer with electrical, electronics and mechanical experience is essential
• Supervisory experience / man-management would be beneficial
• Experience of production / automated manufacturing maintenance would be preferred
• Must have proven fault finding skills and ability to resolve minor malfunctions/equipment errors at shop-floor level
• Must be computer literate with experience of software interfaces e.g. PLC programming, robotic
• Experienced in the following equipment would be beneficial-
• Vermaat/Lincoln Mechanised Equipment
• CRC P625 System
• CRC CMT System
• Laser / Camera systems
• Operation of Selmers Line Up Systems
• Siemens S7
• Maintenance & Fault Finding of Pipe Line up systems.
• Plasma Cutting Equipment
• Miller Inverters
• Fronius Manual Welding Equipment
• Induction Heating Systems
• Protem Pipe Facing Machines (PFM’s)
• Protem Hydraulic Power Units (H.P.U’s)
• Internal Line Up Clamps including Purge Clamps
• Compressors
