Senior Electrical VSD Engineer
Location: Esbjerg - Denmark
Mobilisation: ASAP
Duration: 12 months

We are currently supporting a major operator in the energy sector with the search for an experienced Senior Electrical VSD Engineer to join their onshore maintenance organisation, with regular offshore exposure.

This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of critical electrical systems, contribute to reliability and digitalisation initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining safe and uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of advanced condition monitoring and reliability strategies for critical electrical and rotating equipment
  • Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, rectification activities and technical modifications in collaboration with onshore/offshore teams and OEMs
  • Support and implement digitalisation initiatives, including remote monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions
  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from feasibility studies and design through to commissioning and start-up
  • Participate in offshore campaigns to supervise and execute high-level (Level 4 & 5) maintenance activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, technical guidelines, and major upgrade campaigns within the organisation
Profile & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar senior electrical role, with strong offshore exposure
  • Proven expertise in Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and frequency drive technologies
  • Strong knowledge of IEC standards and electrical safety rules
  • Hands-on experience with transformers, UPS, switchboards, and digital monitoring systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to operate in complex operational environments
  • Proactive, rigorous, and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel offshore as required
