We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering expertise and technical support throughout the EPC, commissioning and start-up phases of major projects until handover to the operations team.
The role will ensure that electrical systems and project deliverables meet the required standards for safety, operability, reliability and maintainability throughout the facility lifecycle.
24months to 36 months initial contract duration.
Onshore Base.
NFPS Compression project prefers candidates with Offshore experience.
Minimum requirements
Provide electrical engineering expertise and technical support throughout EPC, commissioning and start-up activities.
Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
Support punch-list activities, warranty claim resolution and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Support or lead the development and implementation of electrical equipment integrity and reliability programs.
Support surveillance programs for critical electrical systems to ensure high standards of reliability, availability and cybersecurity.
Provide technical expertise during commissioning and start-up, ensuring the seamless integration and safe operation of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during commissioning and operational phases.
Provide technical input and support to other engineering disciplines and project functions.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of contractors, consultants and service providers.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure the selection and supply of high-quality electrical equipment in accordance with project specifications.
Support the successful completion of project tie-in requirements for electrical systems.
Maintain an Issue Register and identify, assess and resolve critical issues that may affect project reliability, availability or cybersecurity.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the implementation of new technologies.
Prepare comprehensive electrical discipline handover packages for the operations team following start-up.
Support effective knowledge transfer from the project team to the operations and maintenance teams.
Lead and support high-risk commissioning activities for complex and large-scale projects.
Undertake system surveillance, tuning and optimization of electrical systems during commissioning.
Provide technical advice and support to Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
Guide and mentor less experienced electrical engineers in the implementation of integrity and reliability systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience & Technical Knowledge
Minimum 6 years of experience in an Oil & Gas environment.
Strong experience in electrical engineering within EPC, commissioning and start-up phases.
Experience with electrical system design reviews, technical evaluations, troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Experience in electrical equipment integrity, reliability and availability programs.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, vendors and suppliers.
Experience in commissioning and start-up of complex electrical systems and facilities.
Knowledge of electrical safety, reliability, maintainability and cybersecurity requirements.
Experience with project handover, punch-list closeout and warranty claim resolution is preferred.
Strong understanding of industry standards, engineering practices and project procedures.
