Our client, a well-established and highly successful civils and infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across the Highland is seeking an experienced Senior Costing Clerk to play a key role in project cost control and commercial reporting.
This is a senior office position, offering long-term stability, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure schemes.
As Senior Costing Clerk, you will take ownership of site costing activities, working closely with Project Managers and the commercial team to ensure accurate, timely, and well-controlled cost reporting.

As Senior Costing Clerk, you will take ownership of site costing activities, working closely with Project Managers and the commercial team to ensure accurate, timely, and well-controlled cost reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Full responsibility for site cost capture, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Reviewing, checking, and processing timesheets, invoices, delivery tickets, and hire records
- Producing and maintaining cost reports, trackers, and supporting commercial reviews
- Ensuring costs are allocated correctly to the relevant projects and cost codes
- Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and head office to resolve discrepancies
- Supporting month-end and period close processes
- Providing guidance and support to junior costing or administrative staff where required
- Helping to improve and maintain cost control processes and systems on site
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
- Proven experience as a Costing Clerk / Senior Costing Clerk within civils, construction, or infrastructure
- A solid understanding of site-based cost control and commercial processes
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with internal costing or ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach
- Confidence working with site management and commercial teams
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your area
