Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Advisor to support a major offshore capital project, leading all contracting and procurement activities associated with a complex EPCI package focused on subsea production systems and multiphase pump infrastructure.
This position will play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial and contracting strategy across the full contract lifecycle, working closely with project leadership, technical teams, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Advisor to support a major offshore capital project, leading all contracting and procurement activities associated with a complex EPCI package focused on subsea production systems and multiphase pump infrastructure.
This position will play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial and contracting strategy across the full contract lifecycle, working closely with project leadership, technical teams, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the contracting and procurement strategy for a major EPCI package, aligned with overall project objectives and commercial priorities.
- Establish commercial models, negotiation strategies, and contract management frameworks to support efficient project execution.
- Act as the primary Contracts & Procurement focal point for the project leadership team, providing strategic commercial guidance and challenge where required.
- Lead complex commercial and contractual negotiations with EPCI contractors, OEMs, and global suppliers.
- Drive optimal risk allocation, commercial value, and cost efficiency throughout the procurement and execution phases.
- Develop and maintain robust contract governance processes, including change management, delegated authority compliance, and contract execution planning.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from tendering and award through to administration, variations, claims management, performance monitoring, and close-out activities.
- Support operational procurement and purchase-to-pay (P2P) activities within SAP, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across contracting and procurement processes.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- Significant experience managing high-value contracts within major capital projects.
- Strong background in EPCI contracting within the offshore oil & gas sector is essential.
- Experience supporting subsea processing scopes such as multiphase pumps, subsea compression, or subsea separation would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier management, and contract administration for technically complex scopes.
- Experience working with collaborative or alliance-style contracting models, including integrated project delivery approaches.
- Proven capability negotiating complex commercial agreements and delivering measurable commercial improvements.
- Experience managing international suppliers and contractor relationships across global markets.
- Strong contract drafting and commercial risk management expertise.
- Familiarity with SAP and P2P procurement systems.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
- MCIPS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen with the ability to balance risk, cost, and operational delivery objectives.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior management level.
- Advanced analytical capability, including cost analysis, pricing models, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and commercial evaluation methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level recommendations and presentations.
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
