Senior Contract Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Engineer to support contracts and procurement activities for a major Oil & Gas operator in Qatar. The successful candidate will manage the full contractual lifecycle, including tender preparation, commercial evaluation, contract negotiations, award recommendations, contract administration, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement contracting strategies in coordination with technical stakeholders.
• Prepare Contractual Dossiers, Call for Tender (CFT) documentation, and Invitations to Bid (ITB).
• Conduct contractor prequalification, market assessments, and commercial bid evaluations.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including contractual terms and conditions.
• Prepare Recommendations to Award (RTA) and support Contracts Committee approvals.
• Ensure contractual compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable legislation.
• Manage contract execution, amendments, renewals, and contractual obligations.
• Support contractual claims resolution and dispute negotiations.
• Monitor contractual KPIs and maintain accurate contract management records.
• Mentor Contract Engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Commercial Studies, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-graduate contracts experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience as a Contract Engineer within an operating company is required, 2 years within the company.
• Advanced technical competency in Contracts & Procurement.
• Advanced certification in C&P tools.
• Strong experience in tendering, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
