Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Leeds

Background: This role offers an opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer / Lead / Manager to deliver facility improvements and additions to a Generating Station, HV Ring Main, satellite plant rooms and designated points of connection. Working for a services company responsible for design and build, providing a full project managed service including all necessary design works and permissions. The construction of the project will follow a phased and sequential approach to ensure the station remains operational throughout the project. This role reports into the Construction Manager.

Role and Responsibilities: * Drafting detailed Commissioning Procedures and Inspection Test Sheets for mechanical systems * Prepare commissioning activities * Pre-commission and Commission mechanical systems and oversee/interface with sub-contractors who are commissioning their package plants * Lead and carry out the final performances tests of global systems, with the support of the commissioning team, with the aim of getting the Practical Completion * Preparing end of commissioning reports, including "punch list" * Preparing hand over certificate with all associated documentations * Giving support/solving the technical and contractual issues for the commissioning on site in his technical domain * Checking the physical progress statements related to commissioning together with the respect of the contractual time schedule * Able to follow and redline P&ID's and documents to assist with compilation of As Built drawings/document and H&S file * Checking that the Contractors are working in accordance with the site Health and Safety Plan, Method Statements and Risk Assessments related to their activities and site regulations and comply with any instructions related to Safety Coordination on site during commissioning activities.

Qualifications and Experience: * Experience generating Station Complex commissioning activities as well as detailed reports and handover documentation for the following equipment: Gas/Oil fired Steam Boilers, Steam Distribution, CHPs, Low Temperature Hot Water Generation and Distribution, Chillers and Cooling Towers, Water Treatment, Auxiliary Water systems * Hands on experience to be able to commission the prior equipment * Preferably a Graduate Chartered Engineer and have previous experience in these pieces of equipment * Hold a relevant CSCS card.
