Responsibilities of Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

  • Responsible for electrical issues accordingly to the affected Country's legislation and regulation
  • Implementation of the Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of work
  • Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages
  • Advise operationally on HV electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables
  • Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment
  • Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network
  • Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively

Tasks for the Lead SAP

  • Ensure compliancy with and managing of Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules
  • Safety coordination in electrical matters
  • Manage and coordinate HV/MV/LV commissioning activities
  • Act as senior authorised person
  • Outage management and network control in collaboration with the Control Engineers
  • Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules
  • Update MV/HV/LV schematic diagrams
  • Inspect work sites and perform site safety inspections and auditing for electrical matters
  • Check method statements for electrical matters
  • Implement and provide training programmes for relevant staff according to the rules
  • Provide technical and engineering advice to working parties for electrical matters
  • Assist different departments in Ørsted when required
  • Attendance at FAT and SAT tests if required

Key deliverables

  • Input to the project commissioning management manual and related documents (including pre-commissioning and commissioning quality plans)
  • Participation in different audits
  • Reports from FAT & SAT on the different high voltage equipment's
  • Onsite check of switching programs
  • Participation in the planning of resource and work activities
  • Deliver inputs to the design phase of the project on technical aspects


  • Appropriate electrical and mechanical qualifications in LV and HV systems
  • Full GWO courses / HUET
  • OGUK Medical
  • Appropriate PPE for HV works (bring your own)


This position is primarily in the construction yard of the transformer platform that will after completion be shipped to Taiwan to the Changhua Project 01&02a
This position offers the ability to continue the work in Taiwan until October 2022
