Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Scientist I on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical client based in Westport (Fully Onsite) on an initial 12-month contract with huge potential to extend.
Job Summary
We currently require a Scientist I to join our talented and ambitious analytical team. In this role you will execute routine testing of ELISA / HPLC / compendial methods. You will also participate in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of these analytical methods.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine testing using ELISA, HPLC, and other compendial analytical methods.
• Participate in the development / optimization / validation of analytical methods as per project requirements and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Accurately document and review experiment results and observations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to analytical instrumentation and methodologies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, manage reagents and consumables, and ensure a safe lab environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding project status and results.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials such as controlled drug compounds, etc. as applicable.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically up to 3 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with typically 1 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative ELISA assay (required).
• Demonstrated ability to perform HPLC and/or compendial assays (desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new experimental techniques
• Ability to multitask and work within timelines.
• Demonstrated scientific writing skills and strong verbal communication skills
