We are looking for a highly motivated scientist to join our Exploratory Biologics group in Discovery Research Immunology. The position offers a unique opportunity for a talented scientist to work in a dynamic, innovative, and multi-disciplinary environment to develop their career at the interface of basic research and early drug discovery. They will support the characterization of multi specific biologics for our discovery portfolio programs. Responsibilities include planning, conducting, and analyzing in vitro assays as well as presenting data findings to explore key biological questions related to Immunological diseases. The position requires ability to work independently, have excellent technical, written and oral communication skills and work very well in a collaborative team environment. The candidate should be proficient in basic laboratory techniques including experience with primary human cells.

Qualifications and requirements:
- The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Biological Science or related field with 2-3 years of job related experience.
- Motivated to execute well-thought and well-planned in vitro experiments using multi specific biologics.
- Proficient in carrying out ELISA/MSD to quantitate pro-inflammatory proteins.
- Basic cell biology and biochemical skills: Tissue culture, Transfection, Cell line generation, SDS-PAGE, Immunoprecipitation, Western blotting etc.
- Experience in in vitro human cell culture including various types of immune cells, and cell-based assay development is required.
- Proficient in isolating immune cells from human blood and tissues.
- Hands-on experience in multi-color flow cytometry with both, handling flow cytometer (Canto, MACS Quant) and independently analyzing the data using analytical software such as FlowJo is required.
- Experience in biologic screening in human cells is preferred.
- Knowledge of DNA/RNA handling and other molecular biology techniques like PCR and qPCR.

- Hiring manager background – 30 yrs at AbbVie, he was involved w/ Humira back then. Has Molecular bio background & antibody engineering
- This role requires more assay development work – in vitro assay in particular
- Ideally seeking MS grad but open to BS w/ more yrs of experience
- Seeking Biologics experience, work w/ primary cells isolating immune cells – T cells & B cells from blood, assay development work, in vitro assays
- Needs a more experienced person for this work, More cellular biology based
- Multi-color flow cytometry – 3 colors minimum experience required, not looking for a flow expert must be able to do other things as well
- Combination of skills – must be able to help design experiments as well as follow & carry out SOP’s. They will work w/ disease groups to help characterize the multi specific molecules they are designing
- HM is open to any type of research BG not specifically immunology only – important is they know primary cells
- Overqualification – HM is open to more yrs of experience w/ this req
