Safety Culture Coach – Mozambique LNG Project
Location: Mozambique (28/28 Rotation)

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Culture Coach to join a major LNG development project in Mozambique. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening safety culture across one of the world's largest energy projects.

Working within the Project Safety Operations team, you will be responsible for driving behavioural safety initiatives, coaching leaders and frontline personnel, and ensuring safety excellence across both onshore and offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture and leadership programmes throughout the project.
• Develop and maintain safety culture improvement plans that positively influence workforce behaviours and attitudes.
• Provide structured coaching to managers, supervisors, and workers to reinforce safe work practices.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, refresher training, and behavioural safety workshops.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective control measures.
• Monitor high-risk activities and conduct site inspections to prevent incidents and near misses.
• Promote and ensure effective implementation of behavioural safety tools and initiatives.
• Participate in incident investigations and lessons learned processes as the Human Factors subject matter expert.
• Analyse safety performance data and maintain behavioural safety KPIs.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to embed a strong and sustainable safety culture across the project.

Candidate Profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in HSE within major Oil & Gas, LNG, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk management, and international HSE standards.
• Demonstrated experience in behavioural safety, safety leadership coaching, and organisational culture development.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Portuguese and/or French language skills would be advantageous.
