We currently have an opportunity for a Ruya SURF Offshore Pre-commissioning Representative role. This position is based in Doha Onshore/Offshore.

Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Overall experience: At least 15 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas project with minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore precommissioning activities
Experience within a project team: At least 15 years’ experience within large multinational taskforce team environment.
Offshore experience: Experience in conventional offshore facilities at EPCI stage is preferred.
Activities:
Main responsibilities of the SURF Offshore Precommissioning CPY Representative onboard SURF CTR vessel are:
To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other company HSE procedures in all Precommissioning activities.
To carry out work in compliance with company values and policies, relevant laws, and regulations, agreed company priorities and objectives, company standards and procedures and good industry practices.
To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
To establish and manage a team during pre-commissioning activities execution which is highly motivated, skilled and works diligently to meet the Package requirements.
To support the SURF CPY Precommissioning lead for:
Resolution of any technical problems
Anticipation of problems
Possible technical optimization & improvement
Estimation/monitoring of the schedule associated to the activities under his responsibility
To be the SURF Company focal point for day to day precomm’activity onboard SURF CTR vessel.
To ensure that all temporary installations, equipment, fluids, spare parts and consumables for pre-commissioning activities are identified and available;
To ensure the tracking of anomalies and non-conformities performed by the SURF CTR and ensure correct follow-up activities in the relevant Worksite.
To ensure Company HSE standards are applied by SURF CTR throughout the operations.
To participate to hazard assessments chaired by SURF CTR.
To ensure proper implementation of the emergency procedures by SURF CTR
In coordination with the SURF Company Installation/Precomm’ team based in Doha:
Participate to the SURF CTR Precomm vessel mobilization
Follow-up of offshore Precomm operations and highlight any event having a potential impact on the operation to SURF Package management (with a particular focus on safety and planning)
To anticipate the offshore activities and ensure Contractor starts in due time preparation of the critical offshore activities.
When operation constraints result in change to SURF planning, provide SURF package management with objective information that will be used for resolution of commercial / schedule discussions with CTR
In case of drift in schedule, liaise with other team involved (engineering, construction, commissioning) to study remedial actions.
To witness and monitor that precomm’ activities are performed as per procedures approved and project
specification/requirements/industry good working practices, including equipment/material storage and preservation.
To follow up Precomm’ activities and issuance of quality record as per Project requirements.
To identify critical activities and potential bottleneck for the progress of Precomm’ activity, anticipate and propose solutions to improve quality performance.
To interface with Major Project’s Field Operations team members in developing SIMOPS and shutdown scope, philosophy, and schedule for the site activities with regards to Pipelines / Cables, Risers Pre-commissioning, including Pre-commissioning Vessel(s) positionings.
Promote a “no change policy” to meet budget and schedule constraint without impairing quality and safety of Pre-commissioning activities.
Main activities of the SURF offshore CPY Representative onboard SURF CTR vessel are:
To act as Company precommissioning representative onboard the SURF CTR vessel
To participate to daily coordination meeting with CPY site rep and SURF CTR
To issue to SURF management the precommissioning daily/weekly progress reporting
To participate to pre-operation hazard assessment
To follow the Contractor precomm’ activities onboard vessel
To ensure coordination with other precomm’ SURF vessels/site when necessary
To participate to SIMOPS preparation if precomm’ activities are involved
Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
Strong precommissioning engineering background
Track records of offshore attendance during Subsea Installation/ Precommissioning [Pipeline, Cable, Spool, Riser].
Experience of subsea Installation/Precommissioning in shallow water.
Ability to work on projects in a complex.
