Hiring Rotating Equipment Engineering Specialist - Operations Expansion Start-Up for Qatar.

Work Location : Qatar Onhore
Contract Duration: 15months to 24 months initial contract duration.
Work Schedule : 8-10 hours per day from Sunday to Thursday

JOB PURPOSE

Advise and support Rotating Equipment Engineering activities during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operations expectations in term of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science major in Engineering in the area of specialization.
8 years’ experience in the area of specialization within Oil and Gas industry.
Expert level knowledge in general and large scale industrial machineries including gas turbines, compressors, dry gas seal, pumps, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide a variety of Rotating Equipment Engineering supports to contribute to the division strategy and goals which includes design reviews, studies, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting as part of punch list and warranty claim resolutions, and Management of Change.
- Develop and implement surveillance and administration programs for critical Rotating Equipment of new projects to achieve high standards of Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security.
- Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommends performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities, meeting the section and division KPIs.
- Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security. Prepares discipline handover packages for operating company following start-up.
- Support high risk commissioning activities for high complexities & large scale projects by
(a) undertaking stringent system surveillance,
(b) tuning and optimizing rotating equipment
(c) providing advisory supports to Operations and Maintenance.
