Reliability Technician (Contract)
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Reliability Technician for a contract position. In this hands-on role, you will be crucial to ensuring the operational reliability and environmental compliance of our facilities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who excels at troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Reliability Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting LDAR (leak detection and repair) surveys to ensure compliance with EPA regulations.
Responding to and repairing emissions identified by fixed-wing and satellite technology.
Performing twice-daily flare pilot status monitoring and executing necessary flare repairs.
Monitoring tank pressure twice daily and repairing upset conditions promptly.
Coordinating with vendors for temporary chemical injection skids, including grounding equipment and performing pre-startup safety reviews.
Providing oversight for batch chemical treatments. Using data systems like Cygnet to identify surface equipment failure trends, conduct root cause failure analysis, and eliminate recurring issues. Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, automation, and operations teams to prevent repeat failures.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven knowledge of upstream oil and gas operations.
Strong skills in surface equipment troubleshooting and hands-on repair.
Experience with automation (<50V) and flare system troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to use data systems for trending and analysis.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Highly organized and effective at collaboration.
