Reliability Engineer – Permanent Opportunity
Location: Primarily based at the Freeport Chemical Manufacturing Facility, with periodic travel to a smaller site in Louisiana.

Orion Partner Plus is pleased to be supporting the search for a Reliability Engineer to join a leading chemical manufacturing organization on a permanent basis. This critical role will focus on driving equipment reliability and mechanical integrity at the company’s flagship site in Freeport, with additional responsibilities at a secondary Louisiana facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and optimize equipment performance, including rotating machinery, compressors, piping, and pressure vessels.
  • Lead and manage Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Oversee and improve engineering policies, preventive maintenance programs, and inspection plans.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, lead root cause analyses, and implement reliability-centered solutions.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate maintenance effectiveness.
  • Contribute to capital project design reviews and support plant outages.
  • Champion mechanical integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in reliability engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with ASME, API, and ABSA pressure vessel codes.
  • Proficiency in reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, MTBF, TapRoot, and 5-Why.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with rotating equipment and cross-functional collaboration.
