Role Overview

The Regional Project Manager leads the setup, management, and execution of technical investment projects with a strong focus on HSE, quality, and timely delivery.

This role collaborates with the General Manager, Steering Committee, and Technical and Purchasing teams at both headquarters and regional levels to ensure all new investments are constructed and operated in accordance with company standards.

The position is based in the UAE Regional Office (Dubai) and involves frequent business trips to Ethiopia and other MEIA locations during project implementation phases.


Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering project management in the manufacturing sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex technical investment projects across multiple regions.
  • Strong understanding of HSE, quality standards, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across regional and global functions.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Technical Manager and project teams to ensure all new investments and technologies are designed, built, and delivered to the highest quality standards.
  2. Manage all stages of the investment process, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, documentation requirements, and local regulations.
  3. Coordinate with group and regional teams to allocate resources, manage contracts, and support contractor selection.
  4. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules — providing regular updates to the Steering Committee and addressing issues proactively.
  5. Lead risk management, HSEQ, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout project execution.
  6. Supervise consultants and contractors during on-site activities, attend technical meetings, and ensure that all equipment and processes meet defined specifications.
