Scope of Responsibilities

Responsible for the resourcing and on-boarding of personnel for Well Engineering Function within ME/NA region.

Primary Duties

  • Develop the resourcing strategy for Well Engineering function within ME/NA and work closely with the regional director to ensure the business requirements are adequately addressed in the strategy.
  • Maintain communication with all permanent and temporary resources as well as client focal point.
  • Prepare resource plans and forecasts.
  • Identification, selection and recruitment of competent and qualified candidates.
  • Work closely with HR function to ensure business process and systems are utilised and adhered to
  • Actively support permanent and temporary workforce in mobilisation on-boarding and induction processes.
  • Develop sources of qualified applicants through various channels like advertisements, internet sources, recruitment agencies or manpower service providers, employee referrals.
  • Identification of local and international manpower service providers and agencies.
  • Negotiate manpower service contracts and rates. Review and endorse related invoices as and when required.
  • Review and examine Job Descriptions/Job Requirements of all positions to be filled, ensure that applicants comply to established minimum qualifications criteria.
  • Interview, assess and evaluate candidates suitability for the required positions and make recommendation to regional director or project managers as required.
  • Design and draft recruitment advertisements, coordinate with the various media for posting of job openings. Research and identify appropriate sources of media for the required target candidates, attend recruitment fairs and exhibitions when required.
  • Review and assess resourcing process for Well Engineering function to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs. Recommend process improvements when required.
  • Compile and analyse recruitment statistical data, including cost of recruitment, recruitment success rates (acceptance vs. rejection), retention and turnovers rates, and identifying sources of retention problems.

Work Contacts

  • Frequent Internal Contacts across all levels in the company. External contacts limited to applicants, local and international HR service providers, local and international manpower agencies and advertisement agencies as well as client focal point for various projects.

Minimum Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce or Human Resources with preferance from a background, working with consultancy organisations in Drilling and Completion.
