Job Title: Quality Lead (Improvement)

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Lead (Improvement) to join a leading Oil & Gas organization in Qatar. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement of quality across major capital projects and operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding quality performance, analyzing data trends, and driving initiatives that enhance project execution and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis of quality performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans in collaboration with project quality managers and teams.
  • Provide oversight of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assess project quality risks and propose mitigation strategies using recognized quality tools (SWOT, FMEA, fault tree analysis, bowtie, etc.).
  • Review and analyze audits, findings, and reports (NCRs, DRs, SDRs) to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Support lessons learned exercises and promote continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide and support contractor and vendor quality personnel in developing robust quality plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of digital quality management tools, dashboards, and electronic data controls.
  • Ensure quality requirements are consistently enforced to achieve flawless, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Prior experience in Quality within the Oil & Gas sector, including time in a supervisory or oversight capacity.
  • Strong background working with contractors, vendors, and large-scale project organizations.
  • Expertise in quality systems, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Certification or qualification in quality improvement processes and statistical methods (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proficiency in quality risk management tools and methodologies (SWOT, FMEA, control charts, Pareto, regression analysis, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project management systems tailored to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
