Job Purpose
Lead of Quality, Fabrication yard is responsible for coordinating the implementation of construction quality surveillance programs and providing direction to PMT site QC Inspection personnel and maintains a close working relationship with the Contractor’s quality team and provides input to the quality program for execution of site work associated with the Fabrication shops.
 
 
Key Job Accountabilities
Monitors the effective oversight of Contractors construction quality efforts.
Provides input to Construction Surveillance Programs as per Project Quality Plan (PQP).
Supports in the Implementation of Company surveillance assessment program conducting assessments in line with approved schedule and Actively Participates in Contractor Quality Walk Programs and Quality Toolbox talks.
Monitors and measures Contractor’s quality performance of each fabrication yard. Reports deficiencies to Head of QC Off plot and Infrastructure.
Conducts Company Construction Quality Verification (inspections) in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Checks completeness and correctness of I&TP check sheets and deliverables
Interfaces with Contractor on quality topics and provides feedback on material preservation based on the outcomes from Surveillance activities.
Applies extensive hands-on, industry-based experience & knowledge to promote & establish existing systems, processes & procedures within a structured quality framework defined in Project Contract.
Promotes and monitors key processes such as Deficiency Reporting, Specification Deviation Request, Non-conformance Request, Corrective Action Reports, etc. with the aim to avoid repeating of issues and achieve a “right first time” mindset.
Requires the ability to effectively communicate quality at project & functional level.
 
 
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science or mechanical engineering
 
Knowledge and/or Experience
8 years’ experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Green and Brown Field Projects Onshore and Offshore.
Advanced knowledge of relevant Quality standards and procedures.
