Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist – PVV (Piping, Valves & Vessels)
Location: Mozambique
Department: Operations – Maintenance
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist (PVV) to support a major LNG producing facility. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability and availability of piping systems, valves and pressure vessels within a large-scale LNG plant environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Head of Methods and Engineering, you will lead the PVV engineering function and oversee all related maintenance engineering activities. You will ensure technical integrity, regulatory compliance and safe, cost-effective maintenance execution across critical static equipment systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the PVV Engineering Specialist team
• Provide expert technical guidance for piping, valves, vessels and LNG static equipment
• Ensure quality control during maintenance activities
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and reliability improvement initiatives
• Develop, review and approve maintenance procedures
• Coordinate contractor and vendor PVV services
• Oversee spare parts strategy, materials management and budget follow-up (approx. $5M)
• Support SAP/CMMS maintenance systems and KPI reporting
• Participate in HAZOPs, audits, safety reviews and technical risk assessments
• Initiate and implement equipment modification proposals
• Support training and development of national workforce
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 20 years maintenance experience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments
• At least 10 years in LNG producing plants (not terminals)
• Strong knowledge of LNG static equipment including tanks, MCHE, heat exchangers, fired heaters, air coolers and loading systems
• Excellent understanding of international codes and standards
• Strong HSE leadership and communication skills
