We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Quality Assurance Engineer to support the H3SEQ Manager on a major deepwater oil & gas development in Namibia.

This is a high-profile, technically complex project involving the development of offshore facilities in approximately 3,000m water depth, with a CAPEX exceeding $10 billion. The development includes 38 wells and major SURF, SPS, FPSO, Drilling & Wells, O&M and Offloading packages.

The successful candidate will play a key transverse role in implementing and maintaining the Project Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring quality performance across the project and its contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transverse QA/QC processes and tools, including Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and Third-Party Inspections (TPI).
  • Coordinate quality activities across multiple project packages, including SURF, SPS, FPSO, O&M, Drilling & Wells and Offloading.
  • Ensure quality issues are identified, recorded, progressed and closed out in accordance with Company specifications and project requirements.
  • Organise regular quality review and issue-identification meetings with project packages and contractors.
  • Monitor quality-related actions and ensure timely, appropriate and risk-based responses.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment of quality requirements between project teams, package teams and contractor counterparts.
  • Support audits and ensure effective follow-up and close-out of findings and actions.
  • Map quality processes, identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive quality and project performance.
  • Promote a strong performance culture and integrated "one-team" approach across the various project packages.
  • Contribute to project close-out reporting and capture relevant lessons learned.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are systematically integrated into the Quality Management process.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior Quality professional with significant experience in major oil & gas projects, ideally within offshore, deepwater, FPSO or large-scale EPC developments.

You should have:
  • Extensive experience in Project Quality Assurance / Quality Management within the oil & gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, QA/QC processes, NCR management, TPI and audits.
  • Experience coordinating quality activities across multiple project packages, contractors and locations.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-disciplinary and international project environments.
  • Strong understanding of project performance management, KPIs and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with major EPC/EPCI contractors and/or operator-side project organisations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to work transversely across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations teams.
  • A strong understanding of HSE requirements and their integration into project quality processes.
  • Previous experience on FPSO, subsea, SURF, SPS or deepwater projects would be highly advantageous.
