Position Purpose:

Great opportunity to work for an Operator as project Manager on a water disposal project. The produced water disposal projects cover the first two phases of a multi-phase diverse reinjection project[s]. The project scope includes 3 or 2 phase oil/water/gas separation, de-oiling and solids removal, injection pumping and drilling of vertical wells, including design and construction of well pads, there are considerable water transfer systems and extensive pipeline and flowline construction.

The Project Manager is accountable for project development of all project execution Phases through feasibility, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction, of the scope and hand over of the plant. The project will likely employ an integrated EPIC contracting scope and the Project Manger will act in the role of Contract and budget Owner. Requiring deep project delivery experience to work with a small team to assure value is delivered in a Brownfield integrated execution project through highly mature leadership relations and expertise. The Project Manager will retain accountability until handover to operations.

The Project Manager has full accountability for the delivery against HSSE, quality, cost and schedule objectives. There will be a strong interface required with Operations and contracting and procurement.

Key Challenges:

  • To produce a high quality, effective project controls system for the dewatering projects.
  • Maintain effective cost and budget control in a Brownfield setting.
  • Preparation of detailed integrated plans across the projects.
  • Preparation of regular and ad hoc project reports.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional qualifications (a BSc or equivalent) preferably in Project, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering disciplines or equivalent.
  • 20+ years in technical and or project related role in Upstream Oil and Gas industry, Operator or Contractor company, with at least 15+ years in Project Engineering/ Management and Leadership roles.
  • Two+ roles as Project Manager of Oil and Gas projects, with accountability for integrated (facilities) delivery against HSSE, Quality, Cost and Schedule objectives.
  • Deep experience in some or all of the following areas:

o Project Development, Definition and Execution strategies, plans and processes;

o HSSE and Quality Leadership and Management Systems;

o Contract and Procurement, Fabrication/ Construction, CSU Management;

o Project Integration, managing complex Projects;

o Project Control processes, QA/ QC, MoC, Cost and Schedule Management;

o Brownfield execution.

  • Leadership experience in managing large teams.
  • Experience in external/ internal Stakeholder Management, Governance and Assurance.
