(Project Manager II)
Location: Branchburg, NJ or Florham Park, NJ
Schedule: On-site, M-F, standard business hours
Contract Length: 3 months (with potential extension up to 12 months)
Pay Rate: $65–$69/hour (based on benefit selection)
 
Orion Group is seeking a Manager, Patient Engagement – Patient Inclusion to support our pharmaceutical client’s efforts to advance inclusive patient engagement within clinical research. This role will focus on executing and optimizing patient outreach strategies, leveraging digital platforms such as the AbbVie Research Collaborative (ARC) and Patient Council (PC) to expand and diversify participation in clinical trials.
This is a highly collaborative, operations-focused role requiring strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making skills within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational execution of patient engagement activities within the ARC / Patient Council platform
  • Manage shared inbox, respond to patient inquiries, and maintain a high-quality stakeholder experience
  • Develop, curate, and distribute monthly patient communications (e.g., newsletters)
  • Design and execute patient insight surveys and maintain engagement processes
  • Execute pre-defined outreach campaigns, ensuring alignment with schedules, templates, and logistics
  • Monitor campaign performance and escalate issues as needed
  • Manage external vendors supporting patient outreach and advertising initiatives
  • Compile and analyze engagement metrics; create and distribute monthly reports and presentation materials for stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with technology teams and internal stakeholders to track progress, manage action items, and ensure timely execution
  • Maintain and update internal documentation related to ARC capabilities and processes
  • Share insights, best practices, and learnings across teams to support continuous improvement and inclusive research initiatives
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, clinical research, or related field
  • 3–5 years of project or study management experience
  • Working knowledge of ICH and GCP guidelines preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvement
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a matrixed environment
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with vendor management and operational execution
  • Demonstrated experience in patient engagement, outreach campaigns, or community-building initiatives preferred
