Project Manager II (Creative)
Location: North Chicago, IL – Hybrid (Tue–Thu onsite, Mon/Fri remote)
Duration: 2-year contract (potential extension based on performance)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
$37-$41/HR based on benefit selection
 
Orion Group is seeking a Project Manager to join a dynamic internal creative agency within a leading pharmaceutical organization. This role sits within the Business Services Group (BSG) and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact creative, marketing, and communications initiatives.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and has experience managing creative campaigns, stakeholder relationships, and project execution from concept through delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project execution across creative campaigns, corporate communications, events, and product initiatives
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear project scopes and actionable plans
  • Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Develop project estimates, track budgets, and oversee financial performance
  • Coordinate internal creative teams and external vendors to deliver effective solutions
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates clearly to leadership
  • Drive process improvements and share best practices across teams
  • Support business development initiatives within the internal agency
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulated environment standards
 
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management and/or account management experience
  • Experience in creative agency, marketing, communications, or event planning environments
  • Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
