Project Manager – Global Marketing PMO & Strategic Initiatives
Location: Mettawa, IL
Schedule: Hybrid – Tuesday through Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay: $84-$88/HR based on benefit selections
 
Orion Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support global marketing initiatives, business transformation, and strategic programs for a leading pharmaceutical organization.
This role will work within an international Project Management Office (PMO), partnering with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive project execution, improve operational efficiency, and support global business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute global projects involving marketing, business transformation, strategic initiatives, and product launches.
  • Support PMO processes, governance, reporting, and project management best practices.
  • Collaborate with international teams across multiple functions, regions, and business units.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, resources, and overall progress.
  • Prepare project updates, executive presentations, and status reports for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, workshops, and leadership sessions.
  • Identify potential roadblocks, facilitate communication, and help keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO tools, workflows, and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience supporting cross-functional, matrixed, or global initiatives.
  • Experience managing strategic projects, business transformation programs, or product launches.
  • Knowledge of PMO methodologies, project tracking, governance, and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting global marketing or international commercial teams.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience.
  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Experience preparing executive-level project reports and presentations.
