Orion Group are delighted to have been retained by an established engineering consulting team is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to support a major interceptor sewer rehabilitation program in the Washington, DC area.

This program focuses on the assessment, design, and rehabilitation of large-diameter sanitary sewer infrastructure, supporting critical municipal wastewater conveyance systems. The work involves technically complex projects including trenchless rehabilitation, hydraulic evaluation, and construction coordination on key infrastructure assets.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy working on large-scale municipal infrastructure programs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver essential wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the design and delivery of sewer rehabilitation projects
  • Coordinate engineering activities related to large-diameter sewer and interceptor systems
  • Support trenchless rehabilitation methods such as CIPP, sliplining, and other trenchless technologies
  • Perform or review hydraulic analysis and pipeline design
  • Assist with planning and coordination of bypass pumping operations during rehabilitation
  • Support procurement activities, RFQs/RFPs, and capital improvement program planning
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including design clarification and QA/QC
  • Coordinate across engineering, construction, and client teams to manage schedule, scope, and budget
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure engineering
  • Experience with sewer rehabilitation or wastewater conveyance systems
  • Familiarity with trenchless rehabilitation technologies
  • Experience supporting municipal infrastructure or capital improvement programs
  • Strong project coordination and communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
