Our client is an Operator and this requiement is for a staff Project Lead (Decommissioning) based in Aberdeen
  
This is a project leadership role within the Decommissioning team. 
 
The Project Lead will lead (Project Manage) execution phase delivery of a Platform or Subsea decommissioning project and will work with the remainder of the decommissioning team to support them with their assigned projects and scopes.
 
The Project Lead will be responsible for delivery of assigned decommissioning project working with the technical leads, contractors, verifiers, all company functions to ensure decommissioning campaigns and activities are executed safely, within budget and on schedule.
 
They will also provide line-management to identified decommissioning personnel within the project. They will work with the Decommissioning Manager and Superintendent to develop a highly performing team, striving for ‘world class’ decommissioning performance across all projects being delivered.
 
The Project Lead will promote a culture of sharing best practices and lessons learned, seeking innovation and
learning both internally and externally, in order to continuously improve company’s decommissioning capability.
 
Leadership:
Responsible for delivery of assigned Decommissioning Project, plus joint responsibility for the overall success of all decommissioning activities, working with the wider team to ensure decommissioning campaigns and activities are executed safely, within budget and on schedule.
 
Work together with contractors, verifiers, all company functions and the decommissioning department to promote and ensure a cohesive and collaborative team environment in which to deliver successful projects.
 
Line manage decommissioning resources within their team and work with the Decommissioning leadership to support development of personnel within the decommissioning department.
 
Ensure compliance with the Decommissioning Programme and any other regulatory interfaces on the project.
 
Develop and maintain a positive company culture, including promoting the company Mission Statement and Core Values, maintaining an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and driving continuous improvement.
 
 
Demonstrate an exemplary safety leadership standard and provide clear direction on HSE expectations by communicating effectively. Be a demonstrably visible presence offshore.

Support the communication of lessons learned from incidents, and audit findings.
 
Support the Decommissioning Manager with compilation of the annual department budget and have responsibility for own lines therein.

Education/Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience of leading large-scale projects or scopes.
Experience of managing budgets, teams and working collaboratively with external parties.
Technical/Engineering degree or a number of years of experience in a technical field.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Knowledge of the offshore working environment and/or site-based working.

Preferred:
Project Management Qualification or working towards accreditation with a recognised body. i.e. APM or PMI.
