Position : Project Engineer (onshore)
Job Purpose
Provide engineering and project coordination support for the execution of ongoing onshore facility projects in Dashgil and Sangachal, ensuring that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with UBOC standards, HSE requirements, and applicable industry codes.
The role ensures effective coordination between engineering disciplines, contractors, and site teams to support successful project delivery and timely resolution of technical and execution-related issues.
Work Location: Demirchi Tower, Baku, Azerbaijan
Contract Duration: Annual
Work Schedule: Normal office hours (5/2) if required Saturday
Position Type: Onshore
Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior engineering support across Dashgil and Sangachal facility projects.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with project execution plan.
• Monitor project progress, cost performance, and schedule adherence.
• Review technical documents, drawings, procedures, and method statements.
• Support procurement activities including technical evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Track fabrication, delivery, and vendor documentation progress.
• Support construction and site execution activities in operating facilities.
• Assist in shutdown planning, tie-ins, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Maintain project reporting tools, dashboards, and progress tracking systems.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE procedures and quality standards.
• Participate in site coordination meetings and interface workshops.
• Support preparation of as-built documentation and project close-out dossiers.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Process).
• Minimum 10–15 years oil & gas and Project Engineer experience.
• Strong onshore facility / brownfield experience required.
• EPC execution exposure essential.
• Strong technical coordination and site execution experience.
