Job title : Project Engineer

Job dimensions:

The job holder will assist in managing various engineering projects, focusing on the relocation of HV lines, power substations, and early-works.
This role involves both administrative tasks and on-site supervision to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Activities:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to resolve any issues that arise.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of tenders and contract documents.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System
• Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
• Know responsibilities to environmental issues in the work areas
• Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the
• performance of his own task
As such the duties and areas of authority are:
• Follow HSE instructions given by Managers and supervisory personnel
• Assure of the safety of his work site before commencing work
• Take the necessary measures to avert the immediate threat of danger
• Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to people and installations or to avoid pollution
• Use tools, equipment and their safeguards correctly
• Use the provided means of personal protection correctly
• Leave the workplace behind correct and orderly, upon job completion – enforce the Company Clean Desk policy
• Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor
• Participate actively in HSE meetings, safety talks, toolboxes, training sessions and drills
• Co-operate actively in the execution of the HSE plans

Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor.

Accountabilities:

The job holders must possess strong experience in Project Engineering and shall perform all duties in line with Company procedures.


Qualifications/Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management and engineering, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Electricity scope, I.e., HV line relocation and power substation projects.
• Familiarity with Civil work, in particular Early-works project phases.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
